Not only did we design the studio to be great for the DJ producer or sound designer, but we added a professional pop grade vocal & audio recording setup to capture vocals or guitar at any moment, & all in a building in the heart of Peckham Rye with a rooftop bar and cafe + lounge too.

Earth Studios is a recording and production space in the heart of Peckham Rye, designed to combine the sound and technical standards of a world-class recording studio with the immediacy of a modern production setup.

At the centre of the studio is a carefully curated collection of synthesisers, drum machines, analogue effects and instruments — all permanently connected, synchronised and ready to record. From classic hardware and a customised Roland Space Echo to the latest Roland TR-1000, everything is designed to be part of the creative process rather than simply equipment on a shelf.

Despite the amount of hardware in the room, the studio has been designed to feel immediate and intuitive. Synthesisers and drum machines can be controlled via MIDI directly from Ableton, Logic or your preferred DAW, while the studio’s routing allows hardware instruments and effects to be incorporated into a session without interrupting the creative flow.

Alongside the electronic setup is a dedicated recording chain for vocals and instruments, making it easy to move from writing and production into recording as soon as an idea develops.

The room itself was designed with the same philosophy. A separate writing area with piano, guitars and comfortable seating provides a space to work away from the computer — whether developing a topline, working through an arrangement or simply taking a break from the machines.

Earth Studios was founded by two recording engineers whose careers began in some of London’s leading recording studios, working on sessions for internationally recognised artists.

After years spent in traditional commercial studios, they wanted to create something different: a space that retained the recording quality, acoustics and technical standards of a professional studio while putting instruments, experimentation and the creative process back at the centre of the room.

The result is a hybrid studio created particularly with electronic artists, DJs and producers in mind, but equally suited to songwriting, vocal production, recording and mixing across a wide range of genres.

The aim was simple: combine the comfort and recording quality of a great commercial studio, the speed and flexibility of a modern DAW, and a collection of electronic instruments that makes you want to experiment.
